EXPERIENCE CHRIST

His Love

Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

God’s love for us is so powerful, so all-consuming, transcending, and ever-present, there is nothing in all of creation powerful enough to come between Him and His love for you. He loved us so much that before we knew He existed, before we could ever sin and fall short of His grace, He sent a spotless Lamb, His Son, Jesus, to be the sacrifice for our sins (John 3:16).

Our Sin

Romans 6:23

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

We are all sinners in need of a Savior. None of us are good enough, smart enough, or rich enough to earn salvation.  Our sin separates us from God and only Christ's death on the cross and resurrection could make a way for us to be reconciled back to God

our response

Romans 10:9-10

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

In God’s Kingdom, our response to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is to believe God raised Jesus from the dead, and then to confess it out loud as a declaration of faith because it is by our faith that we receive true salvation.

FORGIVENESS

1 John 1:9

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

When we confess our sin, God takes it one step further and purifies us from all unrighteousness. This means anything that could’ve stood in the way of being in a right relationship with Him has been removed and our relationship with Him has been restored.

salvation

2 Corinthians 5:17

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

When you leave your old life of sin behind and embrace salvation through Christ Jesus you become a brand new creation. The old you passes away and you begin a new life that is led and lived by the power of the Holy Spirit.

ABUNDANT LIFE

John 10:10

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Abundant life is having eternal security by salvation through Jesus Christ. Abundant life grants you dual citizenship, here on Earth and in Heaven (Philippians 3:20), as a child of the Most High God.

EXPERIENCE GROWTH

WORD OF GOD

Psalm 119:105

"Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path."

God has deposited wisdom in His Word, the Bible, for you to discover how to navigate through life much like using a flashlight in the dark. Every part of the Bible is relevant and useful for learning how to remain in peace, be joyful, and to expect God’s best in every situation (2 Timothy 3:16). Regularly reading the Word and studying the Bible helps build your spiritual arsenal for what you go through in life, ensuring you emerge victorious from every battle (2 Corinthians 2:14)

prayer

Philippians 4:6

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;"

Philippians 4:6 gives us God’s recipe for experiencing His supernatural peace in every situation through prayer, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayer is a conversation between you and God where He hears you and you hear His voice (John 5:15, John 10:27). We are commanded to pray without ceasing and thereby keep ourselves connected to Him in ongoing fellowship daily (Ephesians 6:18).

worship

Psalm 29:2

“Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness..”

Worship is expressing reverence and adoration to the Lord, often expressed through but not limited to the creative arts such as singing and dancing. When you do everything as if you were doing it for the Lord Himself, you are in continuous worship (Colossians 3:23).

holy spirit

Acts 2:4

“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

The principle way God leads us into His perfect rest is through praying in the spirit, a gift that is made manifest through the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

church

Hebrews 10:25

“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

Staying connected to the local church is a wonderful way to grow in your relationship with the Lord and to develop close relationships with people of like-minded beliefs and values.

TITHING

Hebrews 7:2

“And Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means ‘king of righteousness’; then also, ‘king of Salem’ means ‘king of peace.’”

By returning the tithe to the Lord through the local church, you are coming into a covenant with Him and declaring, “All I have is yours. The Lord then blesses the 90 percent you have remaining (Malachi 3:10).

Teams exist to help each individual find significance in serving God and others, while experiencing life with people, power, and purpose. Find what teams you can be a part of by going through Discover Track or joining a Dream Team.

WATER BAPTISM

Being in Christ means we have undergone radical heart transformation: our old self was removed and buried in Christ’s act of obedience to death on Calvary. Then we were raised to newness of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:3-4). Water baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus and is a celebration of dying to sin and being alive unto righteousness in our Lord. Sign up today to get baptized!
